"I feel the need to express myself in colour; using large brushes, palette knives, cloth or anything to apply paint to canvas. As I work, fast, with compulsive energy, the colours form patterns & shapes which dance and jostle each other across the surface of the canvas. These in turn suggest other shapes and forms which develop into the final work. Some of my inspiration comes from artists like Paul Jenkins, Helen Frankenthaler and recently Jonas Gerard"
